What is the phone number to JWC?

You can reach the rental and property management division at 800-421-9368. Our commercial division can be reached at 254-526-5117.

 

What are JWC's hours of operation?

We are open Monday - Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

 

Where is JWC located?

We are located at the corner of Elms Rd. and W S Young Dr., across from the Shilo Inn. Our address is 3800 South W S Young Drive, #101, Killeen, TX 76542.

What properties do you have for rent?

You can view our available and coming soon properties on the "Rental Listings" page of our website. You can also download and view a copy of our vacancy list and specials on our "Rental Listings" page.

How soon can I move in?

We require that you first check out the keys and view the property before submitting an application. The application process can take up to 24 hours. Once your application is approved, we will schedule your move in inspection within 1 to 2 business days. Please read our "JWC Rental Process" page for more important information.

 

I'm moving to the Killeen/Fort Hood area. Can I have a rental property ready for me to move in when I get there?

Unfortunately no. We require that you check the keys out and view the property first.

 

Does JWC accept pets?

Yes, with the exception of aggressive breeds and on some properties that the owner has prohibited pets. Please read our "JWC Rental Process" page for more important information.

 

Does JWC accept Military Waivers?

Sorry, we do not accept Military Waivers.

 

Does JWC accept roommates?

We do not accept roommates. If an additional adult is listed on the application, it must be your legal spouse only or your child that is 18 years of age or older. Please read our "JWC Rental Process" page for more important information.

 

Does JWC look at my credit and rental history?

Credit scores are not obtained or used for qualifying. Credit Bureau reports indicating evictions, poor rental history, unpaid accounts, or more unsatisfactory accounts than satisfactory rental accounts will result in disapproval of the rental application. Please read our "JWC Rental Process" page for more important information.

 

Does JWC have an online rental application?

Sorry, we do not offer an online rental application.

 

How much is the application fee?

The application fee is $45.00 and is non-refundable.  If you have a spouse, there is an additional $15.00 fee. Please read our "JWC Rental Process" page for more important information.

 

I am engaged to get married soon. Can my fiance(e) move in with me?

Unfortunately no. If an additional adult is listed on the application, it must be your legal spouse, immediate family or your child that is at least 18 years of age or older. Please read our "JWC Rental Process" page for more important information.

 

Will JWC hold a property for me?

Sorry, we will not hold a property and we will not make acceptions.

 

Can I have a friend or family member view the home for me?

Yes, however the individual viewing the home for you MUST have a legal power of attorney.

 

Do I need to make an appointment to view a home?

No, we do not accept appointments. We also cannot meet you at a property for a viewing. You must come to our office to check out the keys to the property and view it privately. Please read our "JWC Rental Process" page for more important information.

 

How much is the pet fee?

The pet fee is $300 per pet and is non-refundable. Please read our "JWC Rental Process" page for more important information.

 

How long are the leases? Does JWC offer a 6 month lease?

We only offer a 1 year lease. We cannot make acceptions.

 

What do I need to bring in order to rent a property?

You will need a valid photo ID, proof of income, valid social security card, application fee and the full security deposit. Please read our "JWC Rental Process" page for more important information.

 

What are the income requirements to rent with JWC?

You will need to show proof that you make 3X the rental amount. Please read our "JWC Rental Process" page for more important information.

 

On the JWC website it states an available date that has already passed. Why can't I view the property?

This is the date when the current tenant occupying the house stated that they would surrender the property back to us. Unfortunately the tenant has either not surrendered the keys yet or the property is having repairs done by the owner and we have not been provided with a date that the property will be rent ready.

 

What does 2099 mean under the available date on the JWC website?

This means that the property is on a maintenance hold for repairs and/or cleaning and is not ready to rent yet. Unfortunately we do not have an available move in date yet.

 

When is rent due?

Rent is due on the 1st of the month and is late after the 3rd. A 10% late fee will be assesed after the 3rd.

 

How can I pay my rent?

You can pay your rent online through your tenant portal using your bank account information. Our online payment system does not accept credit or debit cards. You can also come into our office and make a payment. We accept in office payments in the form of debit card, money order, or cashiers check only. Sorry we do not accept credit cards or cash as a form of payment. We can take a personal check for rent as long as it's before the 7th of every month.

 

Can I pay my rent over the phone?

We do not take any form of payment over the phone. You are encouraged to login to your tenant portal and pay your rent online. You may also come into our office and make a payment.

 

What do I do if I can't login to my portal?

You can click on the "Forgot your password?" link or contact our office during normal business hours and a member of our friendly staff will be happy to assist you.
